My Dad winning 2 races as a jockey over the sticks at Huntingdon on the same day. Remember watching it, as a scared stiff 8 year old.

My ticket for the game face value was £1.50 and some bloke outside offered me 4 quid for it ! Didn't take him up on it.

Sounds great to me mate. The Kursaal gig ended up as the 2nd side of the Stupidity album so 40 years later I can listen to both gigs! Love it.

Remember it like it was yesterday, I was18 years old, managed to get a ticket to see us win the FA cup, first holiday abroad with me mates (Estartit costa brava) singing 18 with a bullet as we boarded the Dan Air comet! Got first proper job in IT (still there!) Got a new girlfriend (been married 33 years with 2 great kids) first car a box shaped green Vauxhall Viva. Probabably the most significant year in my life, a great summer (even better one the year after) Happy Day "Bliss it was in that dawn to be alive, but to be young was very heaven"

I'd have thought claret was a touch too close to socialism for you? But you were only 13.

One of the best years of my life.
May 3rd. 13 years old, standing in the Fulham end dressed head to foot in claret & blue. Went there on my own as Dad could only scrounge one ticket.
Alan Taylor, the lad from Rochdale. One of them through Peter Mellor's legs. Bobby Moore playing for Fulham but being cheered by all the West Ham.
Magical memories... *wipes tear from eye

I had no idea what that was until I just looked it up, and fuck me, the opening sequence rang loads of bells!
This clip here showcases one of WHO's very own.
